Abstract
Šećerna bolest je kronična doţivotna bolest koja se očituje smanjenjem lučenja, odnosno nedostatkom hormona inzulina. Jedna je od vodećih kroničnih bolesti kod djece. Način liječenja dijabetesa u djetinjstvu ima vaţnu ulogu u poboljšanju kvalitete ţivota kao i sprječavanje kasnijih komplikacija bolesti. Bolest se javlja zbog nedostatka inzulina a to dovodi do poremećaja u metabolizmu ugljikohidrata, masti i bjelančevina. Ovisnost o inzulinu je osnovna karakteristika dijabetesa kod djece i to ne samo za kontrolu bolesti već i za preţivljavanje, razlog tomu je apsolutni nedostatak inzulina koji se moţe dokazati kod većine djece jednu do dvije godine nakon početka bolesti. Takva šećerna bolest ima naziv dijabetes tipa I – ovisan o inzulinu ili juvenilni dijabetes. Drugi tip šećerne bolesti je dijabetes tipa II – neovisan o inzulinu. RjeĎe se javlja kod djece kojoj dijabetes počinje prije osamnaeste godine ţivota. Pojavljuje se samo u oko 2% djece. Liječenje djece oboljele od dijabetesa velika je odgovornost i izazov za bolesnika, obitelj i zdravstveno osoblje koje brine o djetetu. Medicinska sestra kao član multidisciplinarnog tima ima vrlo značajnu ulogu u liječenju šećerne bolesti. Posebno je vaţna uloga patronaţne medicinske sestre koja ima izravan uvid u pacijentovo zdravstveno stanje. Radi prevencije i ranog otkrivanja šećerne bolesti osnovane su razne udruge koje rade na edukaciji o šećernoj bolesti kod svih graĎana te zdravstvenoj edukaciji samog bolesnika. One motiviraju djecu i adolescente, oboljele od šećerne bolesti, na što kvalitetniji ţivot te integraciju u društvo. U liječenju, rehabilitaciji te prevenciji bolesti nezaobilazan dio multidisciplinarnog zdravstvenog tima jest medicinska sestra. Da bi zdravstvena njega bila uspješna, medicinska sestra mora napraviti individualan plan njege za svakog pacijenta, s obzirom na njegovu dob, spol, intelektualne sposobnosti te zdravstveno stanje, odnosno, bolest s kojom se mora naučiti nositi, ţivjeti. U radu je provedeno istraţivanje u kojem su sudjelovali roditelji djece oboljele od šećerne bolesti s ciljem saznanja utjecaja dijagnoze dijabetesa, kod njihovog djeteta, na same roditelje te obitelj. Provedeno istraţivanje daje nam uvid o utjecaju šećerne bolesti na roditelje i obitelj, te nam pokazuje zadovoljstvo roditelja educiranošću od strane medicinskih djelatnika.
Abstract (english)
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic lifelong disease that is manifested by reducing the secretion or lack of the hormone insulin. One of the leading chronic diseases in children. Treatment of diabetes in childhood plays an important role in improving the quality of life and prevent later complications. The disease occurs due to a lack of insulin and this leads to disturbances in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Dependence on insulin is the basic characteristic of diabetes in children and not just to control the disease, but of survival, the reason for this is the absolute lack of insulin, which can be proved by most children one to two years after the onset of disease. That diabetes has the name Type I diabetes - insulin-dependent or juvenile diabetes.The second type of diabetes is type II diabetes - insulin independent. Rarely occurs in children with diabetes starts before 18 years of age. It appears only in about 2% of children. Treatment of children with diabetes is a big responsibility and a challenge for patients, families and health care providers about the child. The nurse as a member of the multidisciplinary team has a very important role in the treatment of diabetes. Particularly important is the role of community nurses who have direct access to the patient's health status. For prevention and early detection of diabetes were established various organizations working in education on diabetes for all citizens and the education of the patients. Motivate children and adolescents with diabetes, on which quality of life and integration into society. This paper conducted a study involving parents of children suffering from diabetes with the aim of learning the impact of diagnosis of diabetes, their child, the parents themselves and family.
