Abstract
Poslovno okruženje tvrtke na tržištu te karakteristike suvremenog poslovanja determiniraju globalizacijske procese i internacionalizaciju svekolikih poslovnih aktivnosti pa tako i nabavu te procese u nabavi. Danas je nabava sve manje funkcija s taktičkim zadacima u svezi s izvršenjem zahtjeva za nabavu uz niske nabave cijene. Sve više postaje strateška funkcija i odluke se temelje na politici stvaranja vrijednosti te se teži sniženju ukupnih troškova u lancu opskrbe. Tvrtke se sve više orijentiraju na globalno tržište, teže snižavanju informacijskih i komunikacijskih troškova, sve da bi poboljšale racionalizaciju procesa i u većoj mjeri doprinijele stvaranju vrijednosti u lancu opskrbe. Za managment nabave sve više na značenju dobiva planiranje, kontroling, benchmarking, procesna organizacija i sve ostalo što doprinosi optimiranju lanca stvaranja vrijednosti. Pojam nabave se u poslovnoj praksi koristi u užem i širem smislu s različitih aspekata pa će u ovom radu biti objašnjena razlika između ta dva gledišta te funkcije koje obavlja nabava s tih gledišta. Također će biti pojašnjeni ciljevi i zadaci suvremene nabave kao i općenit pojam planiranja i strateškog planiranja u nabavi te kako ti procesi utječu na sveukupno poslovanje tvrtke.

Business environment of the company on the market and the characteristics of modern business globalization processes determine the overall internationalization of business activities, including purchasing and procurement processes. Nowdays procurement is less of a function of tactical tasks related to the execution of a request for the purchase with low purchasing prices. It is increasingly becoming a strategic function and decisions are based on the policy of creating value and it's tending to reduce the total costs in the supply chain. Companies increasingly focus on the global market and they tend to reducing the information and communication costs all in order to improve the rationalization process and largely contributed to the creation of value in the supply chain. Planning, controlling, benchmarking, process organization and everything else that contributes to the optimization of the value creation chain gets more importance for the management of procurement. The term of procurement is in business practice used in the narrow and broad sense with different aspects, therefote the diffrence between these two viewpoints will be explained in this study performed by purchasing from these viewpoints. Also, there will be explanations for the objectives and tasks of modern procurement and general concept of planning and strategic planning in procurement and how these processes affect the overall business of the company.
