Abstract
Emocionalna inteligencija je sposobnost prepoznavanja osjećaja i emocija, njihova jasnog identificiranja i razumijevanja, sposobnost njihova reguliranja i korištenja za postizanje ciljeva i ostvarenje želja. Emocionalna inteligencija ima ključnu ulogu u našem životu, jer utječe na raspoloženje, donošenje ispravnih odluka, motivaciju, stabilnost, uravnoteženost, snalažljivost, prilagodljivost i općenito na odnos vrlina i mana u našem karakteru. Sve više u poslovnom svijetu naglasak se stavlja na emocionalnu inteligenciju te se navodi da bez nje je gotovo nemoguće postizati poslovni uspjeh i ostvarivati poslovnu karijeru. Naglašava se da je emocionalna inteligencija ispred mentalne inteligencije jer sama mentalna inteligencija nije dovoljna za dobre poslovne rezultate. Emocionalna inteligencija omogućuje kontrolu nad vlastitim doživljajima, a svaka kontrola dovodi do bolje spoznaje svijeta oko sebe što je prioritet u poslovnom okruženju. Emocionalno inteligentni ljudi shvaćaju da postoji nešto važnije od prepuštanja svakodnevnim sirovim emocijama; neki viši cilj, viša svrha. Stoga su spremni u važnim trenucima prepoznati pojedine emocije, razumjeti ih, staviti ih u kontekst te ih tako regulirati za ostvarenje svog višeg cilja. U međuljudskim odnosima razvijanjem emocionalne inteligencije se u osobi razvija empatija i socijalne vještine. Radi toga su emocionalno inteligentni ljudi prihvaćeniji i voljeniji od drugih. Kad unosimo inteligenciju u emocije time pridonosimo većoj uljudnosti i brižnosti u svojoj zajednici. Povoljno je znati kojim je postupcima moguće kod drugoga izazvati određene osjećaje. Može nam pomoći da nekoga nadmudrimo ili osvojimo. U poslovnom okruženju visoka emocionalna inteligencija jamči odlične poslovne rezultate, jer ljudi donose kupovne i poslovne odluke pretežito emocionalno, pa je poznavanje i upravljanje tuđim i svojim emocijama vrlo profitabilno. Pomaže nam motivirati se i onda kada doživljavamo neuspjehe na putu ostvarenja određenog cilja. Emocionalno inteligentni pojedinci ispravno percipiraju svoje emocije te koriste integrirane, sofisticirane pristupe za njihovo reguliranje, kako bi ostvarili važne ciljeve. Sa stajališta emocionalne inteligencije, onaj tko posjeduje takve sposobnosti smatra se dobro prilagođenim i emocionalno vještim pojedincem, dok onaj tko ih ne posjeduje u dovoljnoj mjeri može biti oštećen u emocionalnom i socijalnom funkcioniranju. Važno je naglasiti da osoba sa pozitivnim stavovima prema životu kreira međuljudske odnose u kojima se ona sama, a i oni s kojima dolazi u kontakt u njima osjećaju ugodno.

Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize feelings and emotions, their clear identification and understanding, the ability to regulate their use and to achieve the goals and the realization of desires. Emotional intelligence plays a key role in our lives, because it affects the mood, proper decision-making, motivation, stability, balance, resourcefulness, flexibility and generally the relationship of virtues and flaws in our character. More and more in the business world there is an emphasis on emotional intelligence and it is stated that without it is almost impossible to achieve business success and achieve career. It is emphasized that emotional intelligence in front of mental intelligence alone because mental intelligence is not enough for good results. Emotional intelligence with control over their own experiences, and each control leads to better knowledge of the world around them as a priority in the business environment. Emotionally intelligent people realize that there is something more important than surrendering daily raw emotion; a higher purpose. Therefore, they are willing to recognize the important moments of individual emotions, to understand them, to put them in context and are such regulated to achieve their higher purpose. In human relations by developing emotional intelligence in the person develops empathy and social skills. For this purpose, the emotionally intelligent people are accepted and loved by others. When we bring intelligence to emotion such contributes to greater civility and caring in their community. It is convenient to know how to trigger certain feelings in the others. It can help us to outsmart someone or win. In the business environment, high emotional intelligence ensures excellent operating results, because people make purchasing and business decisions mostly emotional, but the knowledge and management of other people and their emotions are very profitable. It helps to motivate us and even when we experience setbacks along the way to achieve a certain goal. Emotionally intelligent individuals correctly perceive their emotions and use integrated, sophisticated approach to their regulation, in order to achieve important goals. From the standpoint of emotional intelligence, one who possesses such ability is considered to be well adjusted and emotionally skilled individual, while the one who do not possess sufficiently can be damaged in emotional and social functioning. It is important that people with positive attitudes towards life creates relationships in which she herself, and those with which it comes into contact them feel comfortable.
