Abstract
Teorijski dio rada obrađuje plakat kao sredstvo vizualne komunikacije te sve njegove elemente sposebnim naglaskom na filmski plakat. Napravljen je povijesni pregled plakata. Opisan jepostupak izrade filmskog plakata kroz sve njegove faze. Praktični dio bavi se izradom filmskog plakata prema koracima definiranim u teorijskom dijelu.Nakon upoznavanja građe kreće se sa skiciranjem idejnih rješenja, skica se prenosi u digitalnioblik. Donosi se niz odluka poput odabira između fotografije i ilustracije za slikovno rješenje,odabira tipografije te slaganja svih elemenata u vizualnu cjelinu prema unaprijed definiranojmreži.

The theoretical part of the work deals with the poster and all its elements as means of visualcommunication with particular emphasis on the movie poster. Historical review of posters ismade. This work describes the making of a movie poster in all its phases.The practical part deals with the creation of movie posters by following the steps defined in thetheoretical part. After familiarizing with the content, preliminary designs are introduced and thesketches are transmitted in digital form. Then there are number of decisions to be made such aschoosing between photography and illustration, selection of typography and finally compositionof all the elements in a visual whole according to pre-defined grid.
