Abstract
Stres je pojam koji označava stanje organizma u kojem doživljavamo prijetnju vlastitu integritetu. Fiziološki je stres prirodni mehanizam koji organizam dovodi u stanje prikladno za obranu ili bijeg. Stres je u suvremenom svijetu prepoznat kao važan čimbenik koji utječe na zdravlje. Reakcije na stres mogu biti psihološke, ponašajne i fiziološke. Veliki je broj okolnosti koje mogu biti povezane sa stresom. Stres na radu je specifična vrsta stresa čiji je izvor u radnom okolišu. Sindrom sagorijevanja na poslu ili popularni naziv u svijetu Burn-out je psihološki termin za dugoročnu iscrpljenost i postepeno pomanjkanje interesa za posao i smanjenje profesionalne učinkovitosti. Operacijska dvorana je jedno od najstimulativnijih i najizazovnijih okruženja u kojima radi medicinska sestra, u današnje vrijeme i sve više medicinskih tehničara, ali isto tako i jedno od najstresnijih radnih mjesta zdravstvenih djelatnika. Stres i sindrom sagorijevanja na radnom mjestu uzrokuje niz problema i poremećaja u radnom procesu, mogu dovesti do razvoja različitih tjelesnih, psihičkih i emocionalnih poremećaja te promjena u ponašanju. Rezultati dobiveni u ovom istraživanju pokazuju da ima povezanih čimbenika u odnosu na količinu stresa na radnom mjestu operacijske medicinske sestre. To su prije svega smjenski rad, organizacija posla, financijski aspekti te godine staža.

Stress is term that signify state of organism in wich we experience threat to our own integrity. Fiziologicaly, stress is natural mehanism which bring our organism in state for defence or getaway. Stress is in modern worlde recognized as important factor that affect our health. Reactions to stress can be psychological, behavioural or physiological. There is a big number of circumstances that can be related with stress. Stress on working place is specific type, and has his source in working environment. Burn-out syndrom is psychologicaly term for long-term exhaustion and gradual shortage of interest in work, with reduction of professional effectiveness. Operation room is one of the most stimulative and most challenging environment where nurse can work, also technician, but at the same time it is one of the most stressful workplace. Stress and burn-out on workplace can cause numerous problems and disorders in work process, can lead to making different physically, psychologicaly and emotionaly disorders in behaviour. Results obtained in this research are showing that there are related factors in relation to amount of stress on workplace for operating nurses. That are, before all other, shift work, organization of work, financial aspect and years of experience.
