Abstract
Promjene na tržištu uzrokuju da samo najuspješnija poduzeća opstaju. Konkurentska sposobnost poduzeća u globalnom okruženju jedini je jamac njegovog budućeg djelovanja i opstanka. Konkurentska prednost nalazi se u srži poslovanja poduzeća na konkurentskim tržištima. No, u današnje vrijeme brzih promjena, mnoga su poduzeća izgubila konkurentsku prednost u svojoj utrci za rastom. Poduzeća su suočena sa sporijim rastom, kao i s domaćim i stranim konkurentima koji se u tržišnoj bitci više ne ponašaju kao da je tržište dovoljno veliko za sve. Ovim radom želi se ukazati na važnost konkurentske prednosti poduzeća, na koji način, kojim strategijama stručnjaci, menadžeri, izgrađujući konkurentsku prednost žele bitno unaprijediti poslovanje svojeg poduzeća, koja bi trebala biti cilj svakoga poduzeća jer osigurava iznadprosječnu dobit i stalni rast i razvitak poduzeća kao i gospodarstva države u cjelini.

The changes in the market cause that only the most successful companies survive. The ability of a company to be competitive in the global environment is the only guarantee of its future action and survival. Competitive advantage is the core of the company’s doing business in competitive markets. However, at the present time of rapid change, many companies have lost their competitive advantage in the race for growth. Enterprises are faced with slower growth, as well as with domestic and foreign competitors who no longer behave as if the market is big enough for all of them. This paper aims to point out the importance of competitive advantage of a company, to emphasize the ways and strategies used by professionals, managers when building competitive advantage in order to significantly improve the business of their company, and which should be the goal of every company because it provides above-average profit and constant growth and development of a company and the country's economy as a whole.
