Abstract | Acido-bazni ili kiselo-lužnati status podrazumijeva održavanje stalne koncentracije vodikovih iona u stanicama i tjelesnim tekućinama, odnosno stalni pH, a vrijednosti pH krvi kreću se od 7,35 do 7,45, dok se neravnoteža očituje acidozom ili alkalozom. Neizostavna uloga u acido-baznoj ravnoteži je i uloga ljudske mikrobiote. Poremećena funkcija mikrobiote tj. disbioza, može se korigirati probiotičkim suplementima, s dovoljnim brojem kvalitetnog bakterijskog soja otpornog na prolazak kroz gornje probavne organe. Najbolje rezultate pak ostvaruje kombinacija probiotika s fermentiranim proizvodima.
Za održavanje acido-bazne ravnoteže važna je i prehrana, koja je sve češći predmet interesa znanstvenika. Naime, smatra se da sva hrana unosom u organizam otpušta kisele ili lužnate ione, a što je moguće odrediti pomoću PRAL vrijednosti (potencijalno opterećenje bubrega kiselinama). PRAL voća i povrća je uglavnom alkalan, a PRAL mesa, žitarica, orašida, morskog mesa i mekušaca, uglavnom kiseo stoga je ključ u dobrom kombiniranju namirnica i njihovu balansu.
Detoksikacija je jedan od načina vraćanja poremećene acido-bazne ravnoteže, na način da se olakša funkcija probavnog i respiratornog sustava te funkcija kože. Upravo su pluća i bubrezi najvažniji organi u održavanju acido-bazne ravnoteže. Kod preopterećenja detoksikacijskog sustava, tijelo nam šalje upozorenje. U početku je to nadimanje trbuha, umor, oticanje nogu, koža bez sjaja i slično no oni mogu preći u ozbiljne probavne probleme, autoimune bolesti, alergije, kronični umor, bolesti zglobova, čak i tumore.
S ciljem prikupljanja informacija o upoznatosti opće populacije s ulogom suplemenata i prehrambenih proizvoda u kvalitetnom osiguranju acido-baznog statusa proveden je anketni upitnik Rezultati su pokazali da je populacija upoznata s terminologijom jer je prosječni postotak točnih odgovora na teorijska pitanja 72,5%. Manje su upoznati s alkalnim i acidirajućim namirnicama te puferskim sustavima bubrega i pluća, najvjerojatnije zbog usputnih, često nepouzdanih članaka, a koji su im primarni izvor informacija. Također, ispitanici u teoriji znaju da su prehrana i probiotički suplementi važni za održavanje acido-bazne ravnoteže s više od 70% točnih odgovora na pitanja no u praksi uopće ne vode računa o tome, čak 71,7% ispitanika. Trenutno aktualna situacija s pandemijom koronavirusa svakodnevno utječe na sve segmente života ljudi no prehrana ispitanika se za sad uglavnom nije promijenila, kao ni unos probiotika. Smatram da je ljudima potrebno skrenuti pozornost na važnost ove tematike, za početak redovitim anketiranjem populacije jer je gotovo 70% ispitanika navelo da im je ova anketa skrenula pozornost na važnost teme. Prema tome razvoj svijesti o problemu, preduvjet je za sustavno uvođenje promjena i prevenciju bolesti. |
Abstract (english) | Acid-base balance involves maintaining a constant concentration of hydrogen ions in cells and body fluids, or a constant pH, and blood pH values range from 7.35 to 7.45, while the imbalance is manifested by acidosis or alkalosis. An indispensable role in acid-base balance is also the role of the human microbiota. Impaired microbiota function, i.e. dysbiosis, can be corrected with probiotic supplements, with a sufficient number of quality bacterial strain resistant to passing through the upper digestive organs. The best results are achieved by a combination of probiotics with fermented products.
Nutrition, which is an increasingly common subject of scientific interest, is also important for maintaining acid-base balance. Namely, it is considered that all foods release acidic or alkaline ions in the body, which can be determined using PRAL values (potential renal acid load). PRAL of fruits and vegetables is mostly alkaline, and PRAL of meat, cereals, nuts, seafood, and mollusks, is mostly sour so the key is in a good combination of foods and their balance.
Detoxification is one of the ways to restore the disturbed acid-base balance, in a way that facilitates the function of the digestive and respiratory systems and the function of the skin. It is the lungs and kidneys that are the most important organs in maintaining acid-base balance. When the detoxification system is overloaded, the body sends us a warning. Initially, it is bloating, fatigue, swelling of the legs, dull skin, and similar but they can progress to serious digestive problems, autoimmune diseases, allergies, chronic fatigue, joint diseases, even tumors.
In order to collect information on the general population's awareness of the role of supplements and food products in quality acid-base status assurance, a survey questionnaire was conducted. The results showed that the population is familiar with terminology because the average percentage of correct answers to theoretical questions is 72.5%. They are less familiar with alkaline and acidic foods and kidney and lung buffer systems, most likely due to random, often unreliable articles, which are their primary source of information. Also, respondents, in theory, know that diet and probiotic supplements are important for maintaining acid-base balance with more than 70% correct answers to questions but in practice do not take this into account at all, even 71.7% of respondents. The current situation with the coronavirus pandemic affects all segments of people's lives on a daily basis, but the diet of the respondents has not changed for the time being, nor has the intake of probiotics. I think that people need to draw attention to the importance of this topic, to begin with, a regular survey of the population because almost 70% of respondents said that this survey drew their attention to the importance of the topic. Therefore, the development of awareness of the problem is a prerequisite for the systematic introduction of change and disease prevention. |
