Abstract | Sestrinska profesija usmjerena je na čovjeka u namjeri postizanja najvećeg stupnja blagostanja svakom pojedincu. Okarakterizirana je kao humana profesija gdje pojedinci mogu pokazati vrijedne osobine, želju da pomognu te svojim radom postaju uzor drugima. No, pored pozitivnih strana ukazuje na negativne utjecaje koje zdravstveni djelatnici moraju snositi. Sama priroda posla iziskuje od medicinskih sestara/tehničara emocionalnu stabilnost, predanost, odgovornost te sposobnost razumijevanja ljudske patnje. Upravo zbog želje da se prvenstveno pomogne drugima najčešće pojedinci zanemaruju vlastite potrebe i osjećaje što može dovesti do nastanka sindroma profesionalnog sagorijevanja koji sa sobom nosi značajne posljedice na psihofizičko zdravlje.
Profesionalni stres odgovor je na situacije kada se pojedinac ne može nositi s prevelikim zahtjevima radne okoline, odnosno, kada ne može uz sve napore i trud ostvariti cilj radne organizacije. Najčešće se profesionalni stres javlja kod osoba koje su ambiciozne, motivirane, odgovorne te kod osoba koje daju previše sebe i ulažu preveliki trud u izvršavanje zadataka za koje nisu osposobljene. Dodatno, profesionalni stres može pojačati i neadekvatna podrška kolega i obitelji te slaba kontrola rada. Sindrom profesionalnog sagorijevanja može nastati ukoliko je profesionalni stres prisutan kroz duži vremenski period.
Prema svemu navedenom u drugom dijelu rada definirana je sestrinska profesija, kako bi se pobliže objasnila sama tematika opisan je termin zdravstvenih radnika te čimbenika koji utječu na osobe kako bi izabrali upravo sestrinstvo kao izbor profesije. Zatim slijede pokazatelji i posljedice stresa koji su opisani u trećem poglavlju rada. U četvrtom, glavnom dijelu rada, obrađuje se tema profesionalnog stresa, simptomi i faze sindroma profesionalnog sagorijevanja. U posljednjem poglavlju opisane su mjere prevencije i metode suočavanja sa sindromom profesionalnog sagorijevanja, a ujedno su prikazane intervencije usmjerene na prevenciju stresa, kupiranje već postojećeg i rješavanje posljedica stresa u sestrinskoj profesiji. |
Abstract (english) | The nursing profession is focused on human with the intention of achieving the highest degree of well-being to each individual. It is characterized as a humane profession where individuals can show valuable qualities, a desire to help and their work become a role model for others. But in addition to the positives, it points to the negative impacts that healthcare professionals must bear. The nature of the job requires emotional stability, commitment, responsibility, and the ability to understand human suffering from nurses / technicians. Precisely because of the desire to primarly help others, individuals most often neglect their own needs and feelings, which can lead to the development of occupational burnout syndrome, which has significant consequences for psychophysical health.
Occupational stress is a response to situations when an individual cannot cope with the excessive demands of the work environment, that is, when he cannot achieve the goal of the work organization. Occupational stress most often occurs in people who are ambitious, motivated, responsible, and in people who give too much of themselves and put too much effort into performing tasks for which they are not qualified. Additionally, professional stress can be exacerbated by inadequate support from colleagues and family and poor control of work. Occupational burnout syndrome can occur if occupational stress is present for an extended period of time.
According to all the above, the second part of the paper defines the nursing profession, in order to explain the topic in more detail, the term health workers is described and the factors that influence people to choose nursing as a choice of profession. This is followed by the indicators and consequences of stress described in the third chapter of the paper. In the fourth, main part of the paper, the topic of occupational stress, symptoms and stages of occupational burnout syndrome is addressed. The last chapter describes prevention measures and methods of coping with burnout syndrome, and also presents interventions aimed at preventing stress, stopping existing and addressing the consequences of stress in the nursing profession. |
