The subject of this thesis is nonverbal communication in public appearance. Nonverbal behaviour is used to express emotions, showcase attitude, reflect the personality and encourage or change verbal communication. Nonverbal communication is one of the most challenging and impressive aspects of public speech. In this thesis I will define nonverbal communication and explain the key terms correlated to this topic. Through literature, I will describe the theory which will show the importance of nonverbal communication at public appearance and how it affects verbal communication. Good communication, just like good speech, are important in business and in private world. When we are faced with public appearance, the quality of the speech is important and it shows in balance between verbal and nonverbal communication. Apart from the messages sent using words, it is important to consider the messages sent using our body language. In this thesis I will do a research showing how nonverbal attitude affects the opinion the examinee has of the speaker and what influence nonverbal communication has on verbal which is the main hypothesis of this graduate thesis.
