Abstract | HUPT – Hrvatske udruge paraplegičara i tetraplegičara je samostalna, neprofitna, nevladina, interesna i humanitarna udruga paraplegičara i tetraplegičara i njihovih bliskih srodnika te osoba koje su profesionalno i moralno ujedinjene istim ciljevima i zadacima. Udruga potiče i pruža pomoć svim svojim članovima i njihovim obiteljima radi poboljšanja kvalitete života i društvene brige, skrbi i zaštite interesa paraplegičara i tetraplegičara te potiče samosvijest i društvenu, gospodarsku, kulturnu i ostalu afirmaciju osoba s invaliditetom. Udruga također promiče potrebe i prava svih osoba s paraplegijom i tetraplegijom na području Republike Hrvatske. Udruga je od velikog značaja osobama s ozljedom kralježnične moždine. Tihomir Perhat i Manda Knežević su značajne osobe u nastanku i razvitku Hrvatskih udruga paraplegičara i tetraplegičara. Udruga je osnovana 1999. godine. Iako je na početku bilo teško i članovi su se susretali s razno raznim poteškoćama, danas je udruga vrlo uspješna i broji mnogo uspješno realizirani projekata, seminara, radionica. Posjeduju bogat edukativan sadržaj u obliku brošura, knjiga, časopisa, video priručnika te web stranicu. Usmjereni su prema članovima i članicama, prema javnim politikama i prema javnosti. Svima njim je zajedničko postići poboljšanje kvalitete života i za uključenost u društvo te izjednačavanje njihovih mogućnosti s drugim građanima. Prvenstveno je cilj omogućiti rehabilitaciju osobama s paraplegijom ili tetraplegijom s interdisciplinarnim pristupom s svrhom što ranije rehabilitacije i uključivanjem u svakodnevicu. Nadalje je bitno upoznati javnost s potrebama osoba s invaliditetom i problemima u zajednici s kojima se susreću osobe u invalidskim kolicima za što ravnopravnije sudjelovanje u radu i svakodnevnim aktivnostima. Stoga je važno stvoriti snažan zagovor za promjenu politika prema osobama s paraplegijom i tetraplegijom koja ima utjecaj na sustavno organiziranje potrebnih službi i servisa koje su namijenjene osobama s invaliditetom. Svake godine sudjeluju u organizaciji Radnog vikenda s edukativno - društvenim ciljem. Važno je naglasiti potrebitost Nacionalnog rehabilitacijskog centra u Varaždinskim toplicama koji je krenuo u izgradnju i nestrpljivo se čeka dugo iščekivani početak rada. |
Abstract (english) | CPTA- the Croatian Paraplegic and Tetraplegic Alliance is an independent, non – profit, non – goverment, advocacy and humanitarian association of persons with spinal cord injury (paraplegics and tetraplegics) and their close relatives, as well as persons united both professionally and morally by the same goals and tasks. The association encourages and aids all of its members and their families in order to improve quality od the life and social care, protection od the interests od paraplegics and tetraplegics, while also encouraging the self - awareness and social, economic, cultural and other affirmation od person with disabilities. The association promotes the needs and rights od all individuals suffering from paraplegia and tetraplegia in the Republic od Croatia, and is od great importance to people with spinal cors injuries in general. Tihomir Perhat and Manda Knežević are importantfigures in the emergence and development od paraplegic and tetraplegis alliances in Croatia. The association, which was founded in 1999, had a rough beginning and its members faced various obstacles, but today the group is highly prosperous and has completed many successful projects, seminars and workshops. It offers rich educational content in the form od brochures, books, magazines, video manuals and a website, and is focused on its members, public policy and the general public. What these groups have in common is the goal of improving quality od life and social inclusion, as well as equalizing the fiels od opportunities for all citizens. The primary aim is to enable rehabilitation od people with paraplegia and tetralegia via an interdisciplinary approach, with the purpose od eraly rehabilitation and inclusion in everyday life. Furthermore, it is important to educate the public in the needs od people with disabilities and the social problems people in wheelchairs face in order to participate in work and daily activities as equally as possible. It is therefore important to create strong advocacy for policy change for people with paraplegia and tetraplegia, which impacts the systematic organization od the necessary services intended for people with diabilities. Each year, the association takes part in the organization od the “Work Weekend“, which has an educational and social goal. It is important to stress the need for the National Rehabilitation Centre in Varaždinske Toplice, which has started construction and is eagerly awaiting its inauguration. |
