Abstract | Studenti se svakodnevno susreću sa širokim spektrom lako dostupnih štetnih tvari, kao što su alkohol, cigarete i marihuana, te često budu u prilici iste tvari i konzumirati. Budući na već ionako stresan život studenata, nije iznenađujuće da mnogi od njih u cilju smanjenja stresa podlegnu konzumiranju takvih tvari. Često zbog toga pati njihova volja za tjelesnom aktivnošću, a slabija kvaliteta sna jedna je od posljedica konzumacije štetnih tvari. Pretjerana konzumacija alkohola dovodi do niza posljedica, uključujući ozljede, napade, automobilske nesreće, gubitke pamćenja, niske ocjene, seksualne napade, predoziranja i smrt. Nadalje, nuspojave od prekomjernog konzumiranja alkohola stavljaju studente koji ne konzumiraju alkohol prekomjerno u veći rizik od ozljeda, seksualnog napada i ometanja učenja. Redovita tjelesna aktivnost i kvalitetan san ključni su za normalno funkcioniranje pojedinca. Tjelesnom aktivnošću organizam se štiti od bolesti i poboljšava rad kardiovaskularnog sustava, a dobro je poznat i blagotvoran učinak aktivnosti na mentalno zdravlje u vidu smanjenja simptoma raznih mentalnih stanja poput anksioznosti i depresije. Izbijanjem pandemije COVID-19 došlo je do brojnih promjena u životima svih generacija, a posebno studenata koji su u vrlo važnom periodu svog života bili primorani na brojne prisilne promjene što je imalo brojne posljedice, a posebno velik utjecaj na mentalno zdravlje.
Proučavanjem zdravstvenih navika pojedinaca dobiva se slika o brizi koju pojedinac ulaže u svoje zdravlje. Cilj rada bio je ispitati zdravstvene navike studenata studija fizioterapije. |
Abstract (english) | Students face a wide range of easily available harmful substances every day, such as alcohol, cigarettes, and marijuana, and often have the opportunity to consume the same substances. Given the already stressful life of students, it is not surprising that many of them give in to the consumption of such substances in order to reduce stress. This often affects their desire for physical activity, and poor sleep quality is one of the consequences of consuming such harmful substances. Binge drinking leads to a variety of consequences, including injuries, seizures, car accidents, memory loss, low grades, sexual assault, overdoses, and death. Furthermore, the side effects of binge drinking place students who do not binge drink at greater risk of injury, sexual assault, and academic disruption. Regular physical activity and quality sleep are essential for the normal functioning of an individual. Physical activity protects the body from disease and improves the work of the cardiovascular system, and the beneficial effect of activity on mental health is well known in the form of reducing the symptoms of various mental conditions such as anxiety and depression. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic brought about numerous changes in the lives of all generations, especially students who, in a very important period of their lives, were forced to make changes, which had numerous consequences, especially a great impact on mental health.
By studying the health habits of an individual, a picture is obtained of the care that an individual invests in his health. The aim of the work was to examine the health habits of physiotherapy students. |
