Abstract (english) Polyneuropathy is a disease that affects several groups of nerves with a very wide spectrum of symptoms, which leads to the need for very careful diagnosis of the disease itself. The damage caused by this disease affects motor, sensory and autonomic nerve fibers. The aim of the work is to gain insight into the condition of a patient with polyneuropathy after the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been observed that there are three types of polyneuropathy (diabetic, alcoholic and hereditary). All three types are unique. The analysis found that diabetic and alcoholic polyneuropathy can be treated, but there is still no cure for hereditary polyneuropathy, and only different treatments are used to help the patient cope with the disease more easily. An analysis of medical cases of patients with polyneuropathy who suffered from SARS-CoV-2 infection indicated a higher number of cases of peripheral neuropathy. Also, it was determined that the main cause of worsening of the disease is a high body mass index (BMI), although according to some studies, it is a more significant factor than higher blood sugar levels. One of the more interesting cases is the case of a patient who returned from Wuhan. With the development of SARS-CoV-2 infection, she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome and received intravenous immunoglobulin. Additionally, analysis of health cases showed a possible causal relationship between acute polyneuropathy and COVID-19. Therefore, there is a need for long-term monitoring of patients with COVID-19 due to neurological complications, as well as continued research for patients suffering from polyneuropathy. It is concluded that patients with COVID-19 can develop a number of neurological disorders and that patients who previously suffer from polyneuropathy have more serious health complications due to SARS-CoV-2 infection. Polyneuropathy is a disease to which special attention should be paid while following research papers related to polyneuropathy. Of great importance is the work of masters in nursing who, with their knowledge, positive reactions and professional approach, strive to make life easier for patients who suffer from polyneuropathy and at the same time are infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. In addition to the quality cooperation of the doctor, master of nursing and the patient, it is necessary to include family members in the health treatment process, because the networking of all participants promotes better results in the treatment of patients.
