emocionalnih kompetencija ovisno o nekim sociodemografskim karakteristikama (dob, godine
radnog staža i razina stručne spreme).
Upitnik emocionalne kompetentnosti uz dozvolu autora prof. dr. sc. Vladimira Takšića. Upitnik
uočavanja i upravljanja emocijama.
razumijevanja emocija, sposobnost izražavanja i imenovanja emocija i sposobnost regulacije i
upravljanja emocija.
upravljanja emocija mogu razvijati i unaprijediti.
Abstract (english) There are many definitions of emotional intelligence, but the most common one says it is an
ability of regulating, motivating and recognizing else's and own emotions as much as handling
own emotions. It is extremly important that health workers are familiar with the concept in order
to perceive and properly act to patients' emotions so that they could integratively nurture
patients. In this research, at University North in Varaždin, department of nursing, 445
participants from various healthcare positions gathered from specialized Internet groups for
nurses were questioned trough Google form in period from 13th of June to 29th of June 2018.
The goal of research was to question emotional competence and its aspect(the ability to regulate,
motivate, understand, recognize and appellation of emotions) among nurses and to investigate if
there are differences between emotional competence depending on sociodemographic
characteristics(age, years of practise and degree of qualification). For demands of the research,
survey questionnaire was created that consists of two parts. First part require participants to
inscribe sex, age, years of practise, degree of qualification and question are they familiar with the
term of emotional intelligence. Second part was UEK-45, in other words questionnaire survey
about emotional competence approved by its author prof.dr.sc. Vladimir Takšić. It consists of 45
questions that measure the ability of understanding and recognizing in first subscale, defining
and expressing in second subscale and controling and menaging emotions in third subscale.
Results of hypothesis that years of practice and degree of qualification influence emotional
inteligence are confirmed, while hypothesis for age impacting emotional inteligence is partially
confirmed. Familiarizing future healthcare workers with emotional inteligence and its aspects by
introducing it to educational programs in medical schools is crucial. Therefore, they could evolve
their capability of regulating, defining, expressing, understanding and motivating emotions
which are essential in order to provide care for patients most efficiently.
