The main goal of this final paper is to get informed with inventories of goods, how to optimize them at the lowest cost, how to manage them, what types of inventories exist, what are the costs associated with inventories, what are the models of inventory management and much more. The objectives are clarified and processed first in general and then in a concrete example through the business of Biovega. Inventory management is one of the main activities that a company faces. Without the procurement function and the process itself, the company would not be able to meet the set goals, on which further production and sales depend. In order for procurement to function functionally, it is important to set a goal and a detailed plan for procurement, production and sales. Also, another important segment is market research (consumer needs) and sales forecasting. Methods for determining optimal inventory quantities, as well as inventory management models, are also of great importance. Methods such as ABC analysis, XYZ analysis or cross ABC and XYZ analysis allow us to distinguish the important from the irrelevant, ie to distinguish products that are better sold than those that are less, and to devote more time, control, thorough order preparation to those who are best sold.
