Transplantatio as a concept is not unknown term from the century. Sustained prospering through decade into a decade. Through this final work will look back on the historical part of the general transplantation worldwide and Croatia itselfs. Patricular emphasis is put on the preparation of the patient for explantation. It' s starts with the recognition of brain death in several types of diagnostic. The definition of death was for many decades the same. An important steps towards the successful transplantation of organs or tissues is the maintenance of the potential donor to life trough mehanical ventilation,maintenance of circulation,regulation of normal body temperature,maintaining a stable metabolic processes,reduce brain edema(if present) and the retention function of all theratened parenchyma organs to ensure successful transplantation. So,this part applies only to maintain organs in good working condition untill the arrival of the transplant team at the institution were the patient is located to donate an organ or organs. An interesting aspect of this theme is also the presentation of the functioning of the multidisciplinary team in all phases of establishing death,through maintaining the overall stability of the donor,until the arrival of the team in charge of organ transplantation.
