Abstract Strateško upravljanje je umjetnost i znanost strateške analize organizacije, predviđanja promjena u unutarnjem i vanjskom okruženju organizacije, artikuliranja strateških ciljeva, razvoja strategija i korištenja resursa za postizanje konkurentske prednosti. Strateško upravljanje u bolnicama ključno je za osiguranje održivog uspjeha i razmatra višestruke situacije te integrira unutarnje i vanjske uvide i perspektive uz identificiranje slabih signala i "slijepih točaka"
Cilj ovog rada je ispitati djelatnike Varaždinske bolnice o njihovim saznanjima i poznavanju misije i vizije Varaždinske bolnice te poznavanje alata koji se koriste u strateškom upravljanju a to su PEST, PORTER, VRIO te SWOT/TOWs matrica. Ovo su samo neki od alata koji se koriste u strateškom upravljanju organizacijom te su u ovom istraživanju izdvojeni kao alati o čijem saznanju i poznavanju se žele ispitati zaposlenici Varaždinske bolnice. Istraživanje je provedeno na temelju anketnog upitnika koji je sastavljen za potrebe ovog istraživanja. Istraživanje je provedeno dobrovoljno i anonimno putem online obrasca u razdoblju od srpnja i kolovoza 2022. godine, te lipnja 2023. godine. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 108 ispitanika, većina ih je bila ženskog spola, te više razine obrazovanja. Prema dobnoj strukturi najviše ispitanika bilo je u dobi između 26 i 35 godina. S obzirom na godine radnog staža većina ispitanika dolazi iz skupine od 1 do 5 godina i većina njih su zaposlenici na bolničkim odjelima. Temeljem provedenog istraživanja većina ispitanika nije upoznata s misijom i vizijom ustanove u kojoj rade i ne poznaje strateške alate koji se koriste u strateškim upravljanjima organizacijom. Kao glavni motivator za rad navode plaću. Ispitanici su u istraživanju najviše upoznati s područjem upravljanja kvalitetom.
Prema svim navedenim podacima i rezultatima istraživanja, potrebno je provesti edukaciju zdravstvenih djelatnika kako bi se upoznali s misijom i vizijom Opće bolnice Varaždin, te alatima koji su u funkciji strateškog upravljanja organizacijama, a koji Varaždinskoj bolnici mogu biti od velikog značaja za strateško pozicioniranje na tržištu. Kako bi se bolnica mogla razvijati prema misiji, viziji, vrijednostima i strateškim ciljevima potrebna je edukacija i za sve buduće zaposlenike koji mogu pridonijeti daljnjem rastu i razvoju ove ustanove.
Abstract (english) Strategic management is the art and science of strategic analysis of an organization, forecasting changes in the organization's internal and external environment, articulating strategic goals, developing strategies and using resources to achieve competitive advantage. Strategic management in hospitals is essential to ensure sustainable success and considers multiple situations and integrates internal and external insights and perspectives while identifying weak signals and "blind spots"
The aim of this paper is to examine the employees of the Varaždin Hospital about their knowledge and understanding of the mission and vision of the Varaždin Hospital and their knowledge of the tools used in strategic management, namely PEST, PORTER, VRIO and the SWOT/TOWs matrix. These are just some of the tools that are used in the strategic management of the organization, and in this research they were singled out as tools about which the employees of Varaždin Hospital want to be tested. The research was conducted on the basis of a questionnaire that was compiled for the purposes of this research. The research was conducted voluntarily and anonymously via an online form in the period from July and August 2022, and June 2023. 108 respondents participated in the research, most of them were female and had a higher level of education. According to the good structure, most respondents were between the ages of 26 and 35. Regarding the years of service, most of the respondents come from the group of 1 to 5 years and most of them are employees in hospital departments. Based on the conducted research, most respondents are not familiar with the mission and vision of the institution where they work and do not know the strategic tools that are used in strategic management of the organization. They cite salary as the main motivator for work. In the research, the respondents were most familiar with the field of quality management.
According to all the mentioned data and research results, it is necessary to carry out education of healthcare professionals in order to familiarize them with the mission and vision of the Varaždin General Hospital, and the tools that serve the purpose of strategic management of organizations, and which can be of great importance to the Varaždin Hospital for strategic positioning on the market. In order for the hospital to develop according to its mission, vision, values and strategic goals, education is also needed for all future employees who can contribute to the further growth and development of this institution.
