The ligaments and meniscus play an important role in the stability and function of the knee. A large number of muscles pass through the knee and their function is, among other things, to move and stabilize the joint. We distinguish between primary and secondary stabilizers in the knee. The LCA is a key structure in the knee joint and is primarily a stabilizer of the anterior displacement of the tibia relative to the femur. Diagnostic methods used in suspected anterior cruciate ligament injury include special tests and radiological examinations. A graft from the patellar ligament or hamstring tendon is most commonly used in surgical treatment. The job of a physiotherapist consists of physiotherapy assessment; treatment plan; patient interventions and education of the patient. We distinguish a rehabilitation protocol in a conservative approach to treatment from an operative approach to the injurie. Various types of kinesitherapy, physical therapy and special tehniques are used.
