Telemedicine is a term that implies the practice of "distance medicine". Telemedicine projects cover various areas of medicine, mainly clinical, preventive, organizational or educational applications. In this way, the medical professions realize their activity by implementation in various branches of medicine, which is dependent on new technological achievements. In parallel with the increase in the number of researches on the possibilities of the application of telemedicine in the world, the introduction of telemedicine in Croatia has begun. At first it was only an area of scientific interest, but soon its practical application began. Through this paper, the aim is to show how telemedicine supports the processes of providing health care by providing funds for the exchange of information, what are the advantages and disadvantages, as well as an overview of the most important telemedicine services in Croatia. Also, I referred to telemedicine in the field of emergency medicine, and in the conclusion the issue of telemedicine in Croatia in the future was additionally touched upon. Thanks to the provision of remote health services, patients no longer have to go to a specialist doctor in the hospital to get an expert opinion or therapy for their health condition.
