Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
Using the results of the survey in this paper, we concluded that there is a mismatch between what is offered in the labor market , the profile of the unemployed and what claimed by employers. Discrepancies exist due to unattractive jobs that are offered but also because of motivation lack of unemployed. Croatian Employment Service must continue to develop business cooperation with employers to identify their needs and it should be the basis to create new services. It is necessary to create new services to employers to ensure obtaining of the required labour force efficiently and fast but it is also necessary to continue to develop business advisory services on human resources development in order to allow retention of employment and better utilization of human capital. Labour legislation may also be an important factor in achieving competitiveness and influence the acceleration of the process of restructuring the employer, the introduction of a variety of flexible forms of employment and their use in practice easier and more flexible organization of working time, which reduces operating costs. Croatia is, unfortunately, considered as a country with extremely adversely conditions on the labor market. High levels of unemployment and its structure require the State to take appropriate measures, which will act in terms of employment promotion and reducing the current unemployment.
