In the world today, noise has become one of the most resilient forms of environmental pollution. Noise is everywhere. It affects our lives at home, at work, and at play. Wherever people live, there is a noise. Noise, by definition, is any unwanted or excessive sound. It may be discomfort, disturbing sleep, work or recreation. There is one kind of noise that can be effectively treated at its source: road noise. By perfecting the roads and the highway with the asphalt, the noise that we has experienced indoor and outdoor homes and work can be significantly reduced. Studies in the US and Europe show that the crude road with a mixture of stone matrix asphalt (SMA) or OGFC (OGFC) will reduce the noise of the highway by 3 to 5 dB or more. For an average person, this reduction is equal to doubling the distance between the noise source and their location. When comparing the noise reduction possible by selecting the asphalt pavement, we see how much more convenient the choice of cargo surfaces is more inportant than the structure of the barrier walls.
