The theme of this final thesis is the conceptual solution of the water supply design in the settlement of Komarna, which is located in the south of Croatia, in the municipality of Slivno and within Dubrovnik-Neretva County. In the introductory part of the thesis, general information about the water supply system and its impact on the quality of life in the area are presented. After establishing objectives of the work, input data on specific water consumption for the population and tourists, location, economic and geographical characteristics of the area and the current number of permanent residents and tourists are presented. On the basis of the defined input data, a hydraulic calculation was made with a described procedure for calculating the data required for sizing of the water supply system. After the hydraulic calculation, the technical solution for the construction of the water supply network is described, which refers to the excavation of trenches, the method of laying pipes in trenches and their backfilling. The facilities on the route necessary for the maintenance of pipelines, including water fittings, are also described. In the final part of the thesis, an outline of the costs was created with the described foreseen works on the Komarna water supply system. Finally, conclusions are given with the main technical characteristics of the designed system.
