In order to establish quality palliative care, good communication skills of a multidisciplinary palliative care team are required. The multidisciplinary team includes a nurse, a doctor, a physiotherapist, a psychiatrist, a spiritual psychologist and volunteers. The main goal is to achieve the best possible quality of life for the patient until death. Paliative care considers death a normal process that does not want to speed up or delay. Healthcare professionals have a role to play in providing support, empathy and understanding to patient and his family. The development of positive communications in palliative care is crucial and requires a lot of knowledge, competence, skills and experience. If quality communication is established with the patient, the feeling is that someone understand and listen to him. Palliative care will have a good outcome and it purpose fulfilled. It is very important that healthcare professionals provide patients who face a life-threatening illness and those who are close to the opportunity to talk.
