In this paper, we will make a 3D printed linear gripper. An mlx90614 non-contact temperature sensor, KY008 tunable IR proximity sensor and a FSR-402 force sensor will be used and mounted on the gripper hands. These sensors will be programmed with the help of the Arduino Uno Rev3 microcontroller board. The sensors will serve as the input units of the automation and the Feetech FS5113M servo motor will serve as the output unit that will move the hands of the gripper. When the IR proximity sensor is activated, the non-contact temperature sensor will also be activated, which will measure the object’s temperature for the next 3 seconds. If the temperature of the object is lower than 27°C, the Arduino Uno Rev3 will activate the servo motor, and if it is higher than 27°C, the Arduino Uno Rev3 will not activate the servo motor. This regulation is designed as a safety measure against human injury because in the event that a human hand comes in contact with the IR sensor, the servo motor will not activate because the temperature of the hand would be higher than 27°C. The goal of this paper therefore is to raise awareness of the importance of mutual work between robots and humans and how to implement new tehnologies for human protection and safety.
