Abstract

Transportation is one of the main sectors of the economy that directly affects the lives of all of us. It could be said that the transport is the foundation on which the modern world is based, the connection of all branches of industry and the basis for the functioning of all its parts. Internal transport (UT) can be defined as the movement of the objects of labor, capital equipment, people and information flow. Mostly it is done with certain means and in a certain area. The funds, which are commonly used in internal transport can be fixed (gutters, various types of chain conveyors, belt conveyors, elevators, cranes) and mobile (trucks, various types of mobile carts, tractors, trucks, loaders, forklifts) and other manipulators used for transportation of goods. A key element of internal transport and storage is the time spent, which is dictated by the distance traveled, in which the manual (human) work is more and more replaced by a new and more modern technical means (mechanized, electronic, robotic conveyor systems). In other words, streamlining the movement of materials in the production process and storage to reduce the total cost is the basic objective to increase profits and efficiency of each undertaking in the production and transport, distribution proces. The warehouse is a node or point on the logistics network to which the goods are accepted or forwarded in another direction within the network. In a broader sense, a fenced or unfenced, closed or semi-closed (covered) area that serves as a storage of goods, and all that is in direct contact with the storage and the space as such an integral part of storage. From this point of view, the warehouse represents the area in which the goods are taken over, preserved from various physical and chemical influences, issued and dispatched.
