The aim of this master thesis was to examine the influence of welding parameters on the appearance and quality of the obtained weld. Welding process was performed with an automated welding system. The variable parameters in the experiment were welding speed and welding current. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an experimental part. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the basic properties of copper and its alloys. Then the thesis describes the principle of GTAW. The basic equipment, advantages, disadvantages and the principle of the welding procedure. This is followed by the formation of the joints, additional materials and the influence of various parameters on the shape of the welded joint. The last chapter of the theoretical part describes some of the available automated welding systems on the market. The experimental part of the thesis describes the welding process of ETP copper under the influence of different parameters. The obtained samples were then cut into three tubes for further testing. The second part of the experiment was the bend test according to EN ISO 5173. The last part of the experiment was obtaining macro cross-sections of the samples.
