Welding is a simple way of joining or connecting two pieces of metal. It has become the first choice because of its power efficiency and versatility. The topic of this final paper is called "Technology of making balcony constructions using the MIG/MAG process". The final paper is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the final work, the process of making the balcony is elaborated and described, and all the necessary parameters lead to the finished welded structure. In the theoretical part, the theoretical foundations of welded joints and types of welding are described. The MIG-MAG welding process used in the production of balconies is explained in more detail. Concepts, parameters and work regimes of the MAG procedure, types and characteristics of shielding gases and types and characteristics of additional material were elaborated. The equipment used in the balcony welding process, power source, welding electrode and welding wire are described. The experimental part was done on the basis of the collected information about what is needed to get the finished balcony construction and what planning procedure must be completed in order for the welded balcony construction to be of high quality. Standards and factory production controls should meet production requirements that include pre-weld preparation, welding planning documents, work plans, welding instructions. Certificates in the field of welding and pre-welding preparations (certificate) of the norm must meet the requirements for the quality of workmanship.
