In today's industrial environment, every production process starts with the creation of a 3D CAD model, ie a virtual prototype of the product. The modern market places very high demands on manufacturers to make products as cheap and high quality as possible and at the same time produced in the shortest possible time. Additive manufacturing is a response to the dynamics of today's industry and has a wide application in the process of developing new products. As part of additive manufacturing, low-budget 3D printers have also been developed, which have become very affordable and enable a significant expansion of the application of additive manufacturing for development and production. Within this paper, the CoreXY 3D printer is explained in more detail, the principle of process, the performance of the printer, ie prototype modeling, and the advantages and disadvantages of the technology compared to some others.
