The purpose of this thesis is to present different forms of welding copper in the TIG welding process. The theoretical part of the thesis covers features, division and application of copper and its alloys. The issue of welding copper is also described in this part. Moreover, there is a list of equipment, protective gases and electrode types that are used in the process of TIG welding. Next, there is a detailed description of the TIG welding procedure, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of this process. The final part offers a description of the A–TIG welding process and the required activation coatings. In the experimental part of the thesis, three samples were used in the process of welding. The first sample was welded using the conventional TIG process, while the other two samples were welded in the A-TIG process using different components of the activation coating. In order to determine the quality of the welded joint, there were tests carried out on the samples after welding. Finally, the conclusion has been made based on the obtained results.
